SoftCart Start-Up™ supports the Price Threshold shipping model. This means shipping charges are calculated based on the total cost of the order. The merchant must set a maximum limit on the amount that a customer will be charged for shipping based on the total amount of the order.

Set up to five intervals of shipping charges before the maximum threshold charge is met. For example, a total order amount of up to and including $20 could be the first interval with a shipping charge of $7.25.  The second interval could be greater than $20 to $40 with a shipping charge of $9.75. Then the merchant could set a maximum of $11.75 for shipping charges on any order over $40.  Check with your shipping carrier for specific interval price ranges.
